Oh Sundaze – 09.19.21

Oh hi friends. How are we halfway through September already?! This year has just flown by and I’m excited to be headed into my favourite season, however it has been way too long since we’ve sat down and had a catch up! Grab a cuppa and curl up for a catch up with ya girllll.

Since the restrictions started to ease up in Ontario during the month of August, I was able to get out and do some semi “normal” summer things.

Tristan, Nate & I took our annual zoo trip to one of our local zoos and it was an exceptionally beautiful sunny day. The zoo that we visit is great because you can get up close and personal with the animals and you have the option to feed them! We were able to take our masks off while walking through the zoo because it was set up as a one-way path and social distancing was implemented. It was also significantly quieter than normal because you had to reserve a spot in advance – which was really nice because it allowed us to take our time!

I was also able to meet up with a friend and her adorable twin boys for a much needed catch-up! We took a stroll at one of our local parks and it was so nice seeing each other after almost two years.

In my last update I talked about how the pandemic halted our plans to get our dog Penny fixed. And of course the universe works in such divine ways because shortly after we decided we were going to breed her. I’m happy and excited to announce that we’ve officially had two successful ties – so there is a 99.9% chance Penny is growing some puppies at this very moment!!

We’re so excited for the journey ahead and I’ll be bringing you all along for the ride. Stay stunned for tons of pup-dates and all the tips we learn along the way!

Tristan and I celebrated our.. wait for it…. SEVENTH ANNIVERSARY! I know, we can’t believe it either. Yesterday we were two 17 year olds without a clue in the world just knowing we loved each other and wanted to spend forever together. Time sure flies when you’re doing life with your best friend!

We’ve taken a few trips to the greenhouse and on one of those trips I found one of my wish list plants!!! Meet my monstera adansonii – name is pending so send in your suggestions!

I’ve been really preoccupied with training at my work so I haven’t been able to focus on school 100% but I’m always plugging away at it. It’s so crazy how tired my brain is after absorbing so much new information at work and then coming home to absorb information for school. I’ve been making it a priority to listen to my body through the hustle and keep up with my self care routines. One of those routines included breaking out the Halloween decorations!
